I have been blessed to travel to the world to serve others, experience local culture and be ingrained in local communities. Throughout my travels, I have been to the deepest darkest places, and I have encountered amazing people with vibrant attitudes, in conditions Americans would consider much differently.
In December 2017, I chose to say “yes” to leaving my job, climbing the 7 summits, and starting and funding a non-profit focused on bringing aid to those around the world in ways that are meaningful to those on the ground – not what we think from the other side of the world. The non-profit is focused on amplifying existing programs, making them more effective, and amplifying their needs to those with skills or resources to help
In early 2018, I founded New Reach Foundation. While climbing Kilimanjaro in March 2018, I discovered that I have a real purpose – meeting others where they are at, and helping these people thrive, sometimes survive. In June 2018 I transitioned out of my executive level position and went full speed into the unknown world of the Non-Profit sector. I discovered that people’s needs are localized and cultural – there is no one size fits all solution to helping others. For me, finding my why, was about getting to know the different cultures, advising local programs with the experience from the corporate sector, and shining a light on unique needs in each part of the world.
I have spent the last 4 years finding my way through this journey while climbing the largest mountains in the world and having unexpected doors open along my journey. These doors have led to people and projects that greatly impact lives while transforming communities. We all have a choice to say “yes” and I feel strongly encouraged to help others say “yes” to operate in their greatness.
We have all heard and experienced the phenomenon of noticing that everyone else has what I just bought. For example, we do not notice any Blue Toyota Camry’s until we buy one.
What if we wore Yellow lensed glasses, the World would appear Yellow. What if you wore them for a few years? What color would the world appear? Your perception would be skewed from what you previously believed to be “normal”.
This would simply be the way things are. We would no longer be aware of wearing Yellow glasses and we would no longer register the world as Yellow.
Consider that each of us is living our lives with a pair of figurative glasses. That is, we each have a perspective of the World. The way we see something or do not see something determines how we interpret the World, communicate with people, go through difficult times, and how we transform from defining moments in our lives. Our point of view can even impact what we physically allow ourselves to perceive visually. Most have heard and some live by, “perception is reality”, Who’s reality?
Consider that you live your life from a set perspective and that perspective influences every aspect of your life. It directly impacts the results you are getting in your relationships, your career, your health, your opportunities, and in your finances. Most people do not elicit a high level of awareness to their perception and actions. We don’t think we have a perspective! We think that the way we see things is the way they are. This does not open opportunities and the availability we have for greatness. It allows our life to be run by our perspective and it takes away the ability to make any decisions outside of our perspective.
Defining moments in our lives enable us to refine our passions, skills, and aptitudes to live purposeful, and lead “successful” lives.
In a Harvard Business Review article, “Identifying the foundational moments of our success allows us to maximize our potential, uncover our own passions, and become better leaders.” In my case, a defining moment in my life was during a #Kilimanjaro #Summit #Climb in white out blizzard conditions. The looks of devastation, defeat, and fear will never leave my mind. I felt strong, alive, and fueled with purpose. I was sent on this journey for others, not myself.
We just returned from an amazing trip to Russia and the Middle East (Mt. Elbrus Summit Seen above). This journey lead to newly formed Global Partnerships with a focus of People helping People. An immediate goal is redeveloping a platform of 4000 users in 1 country to 1+Billion users globally to assist in immediate local needs. In addition, we are working on expanding organizations focused in target locations to multi-country operations.
The people of #Russia were amazing and the divine appointments in Middle East lead to the beginning of relationships to multiply the missions, visions, and values of multicultural efforts.

What will be the center of your life? This is a question about worship. Who are you going to live for? What are you going to put in the center of your life? We can put our career, our family, money or many other activities at the center of our life. These are all good things, but none of these things will be strong enough to keep us intact when our lives take on challenging defining moments. How do you know when God is at the center of your life?
The #7Summits plan is leading to connecting the right people and organizations to #ChangetheWorld through #People helping People. Thank you for all your support to carry out this amazing plan.
